Students who excel early on in high school are usually the ones who do best in their senior years. That’s why for Years 7-10, we focus on building up the fundamentals so that our students can excel in Mathematics, English and Science.

At GX Education, our English tutors offer text-specific lessons that are tailored to each student’s needs. Furthermore, we aim to improve each student’s literacy and writing skills, while teaching them the analytical techniques needed to ace English.

In our Mathematics classes we focus on developing your abilities starting with fundamentals, so that you can build a solid foundation in your high school career. Our specialised tutors aim to help students sharpen their problem-solving skills, while teaching them the theory and concepts they need to achieve their best.

ATTENDANCE
1 x class per week (1-2 hour lessons)
10 weeks per term
If necessary, we are able to adjust attendance based on each student’s needs, rather than having a set structure.
LESSON STRUCTURE
1. Reviewing Homework
Tutors go over homework from the previous week, and help students with any problems they encountered. They will also discuss any upcoming exams or results.
2. Introducing new content
The class starts by going through theory, then looking at examples of how to apply the concepts learnt.
3. Study Exercises
Students work on practice questions and solve problems on their own, or with the tutor’s guidance.
