These terms and conditions of enrolment have been read and agreed to by you, the parents or guardians upon enrolment at GX Education for a student and that the details provided on the registration form are, to the best of my knowledge true and correct. GX Education reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations as and when necessary.
Definitions
Services means the tutoring services provided by GX Education.
We / Us etc means GX Education and any subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, agents or assigns.
Accuracy of content
GX Education have taken proper care and precautions to ensure that the information we provide on this Website is accurate. However, we cannot guarantee, nor do we accept any legal liability arising from or connected to, the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of anything contained on this Website or on any linked site.
The information contained on this Website should not take the place of professional advice.
Students
Student Code of Conduct
It is a condition of entry at GX Education that both the student and their parents/guardians are aware of the Centre Rules and agree to abide by them
- Students are prepared and on time for each lesson.
- Students are expected to complete any assigned homework by the due date.
- Students are to follow the teacher’s instructions willingly and promptly.
- Students must communicate without the use of rude or coarse language.
- Students must work quietly and let others learn undisturbed unless in a discussion session.
- Students are advised to leave any valuable items at home. No responsibility will be taken by GX Education for any lost property.
- Eating is discouraged during lesson times.
At GX Education we encourage students to maintain appropriate behaviour and conduct. These are non-negotiable rules and strict compliance to them is a key to the provision of high quality education.
- GX Education reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student on the grounds of their failure to maintain the Centre Rules. In general, any student who breaches any of the rules three times in one term may face suspension.
- GX Education reserves the right to take and publish photographs of students at the centre for day-to-day administration and promotional purposes.
Attendance / Make-up lesson based on policy
- The parent/caregiver or students is responsible for giving notice for their absence & booking a make-up lesson. This can be done via the parent & student portal or phone
- Students are unable to attend their usual class, should check the class schedule (Portal for latest update & book a make-up lesson) or contact the office if unsure for alternative make-up class.
- All absences must be marked or noticed 5 days before but no less than 24 hours prior to the lesson.
- If notice is not given, students will be unable to book a make-up lesson.
- Students are given a maximum of two make-up lessons per term.
- If the student is late and there are classes after their allotted time slot, lessons will be finished at the allocated time and the rest of the lesson may be supplemented with online resources
- Parent/ Guardian/ Student must give notice via phone or email to GX Education when the student will be late for a lesson. If the student is more than 15 mins late without notice the process outlined in the cancellation policy (2) will proceed and no refunds or credits will be given for that lesson.
- Make-up must be booked within 30 days of marked absence.
- If extra lessons are requested, notice should be given to GX Education in advance and standard fees apply.
General Rules
Cancellation Policy
- If the student is discontinuing lessons with GX Education, cancellation must be made by completing a Cancellation Request form through the TutorBird Portal or at Reception at least one week before your last lesson of the term. Otherwise, the student will be automatically enrolled into the next term.
- If the student is unable to make the lesson without at least 24 hours prior notices, or is more than 15 mins late without prior notification, the lesson will be cancelled and no refunds or make-up lessons/ credits will be given.
Passwords and logins
You, the parent and/or carer are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your passwords and login details and for all activities carried out under your password and login.
Indemnification for loss or damage
You agree to indemnify Us and hold Us harmless from and against any and all liabilities or expenses arising from or in any way related to your use of this Website or the Services or information offered on this Website, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and solicitors fees of every kind and nature incurred by you or any third parties through you.
Fees
- Once enrolled, student are committed to one full term for every course in which the student is enrolled and the respective fees are immediately and fully payable
- Discounts are applicable for the full term advance payments before the lesson or course commencement date and cannot be combined with any other discount offers.
- We agree to pay GX Education a one-off enrolment fee which is non-refundable under any circumstances
- Unless GX Education is notified of terminations of enrolment for the following term, GX Education will enrol the student for the following term. Students enrolment for the following term is automatically confirmed and the respective fees are immediately and fully payable.
- In any circumstances where refunds are given under the discretion of management, we will retain an enrolment / administration fee being $55 of the fees paid by students.
- Cooling off period of 5 days is only applicable for new students wherein new students may receive a refund (not including the enrolment fee)
- Any late payments are not eligible for any discount offers
- GX Education may postpone or change a lesson due to an event (e.g., tutor’s illness, natural disaster, power outage, pandemic, etc). The lesson will be rescheduled to an appropriate later date and online learning materials may be provided to substitute. No credits or refunds will be given in this circumstance.
- Interest of unpaid amounts payable overdue by more than 60 days is charged at 10% per annum
Free Trial Terms and Conditions
Eligibility: The “Free Trial” promotion is only available to new students who have never previously enrolled with GX Education before. Any current students, or students who have had lessons before will not be eligible for this promotion however they may be still eligible for other promotions. Please contact GX Education for more information.
Free trial lessons are non-transferable between classes/ subjects and other students
Free trial lessons follows our normal lesson cancellation policy in which we must be given 24 hours notice of cancellation otherwise the student will no longer be eligible for a free trial lesson.

Intellectual property and copyrights
We hold the copyright to the content of this Website, including all uploaded files, layout design, data, graphics, articles, file content, codes, news, tutorials, videos, reviews, forum posts and databases contained on the Website or in connection with the Services. You must not use or replicate our copyright material other than as permitted by law. Specifically, you must not use or replicate our copyright material for commercial purposes unless expressly agreed to by Us, in which case we may require you to sign a Licence Agreement.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of NSW, Australia. Any disputes concerning this website are to be resolved by the courts having jurisdiction in NSW.
We retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms and Conditions, in your country of residence or any other appropriate country or jurisdiction.
